ABOUT DR. MIGUEL GRILLO |

Dr.
Grillo studied at Albion College in Michigan where he obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree with a major
in Chemistry. He studied dentistry at the University of Pittsburgh obtaining the degree of Doctor of Dental Medicine
(DMD) in 1992. He then completed a one year general practice dental residency at St. Lukes Metro Hospital in Cleveland,
Ohio.
From 1994 to 1996, he trained at the specialty post graduate training program in Prosthodontics at the West Los
Angeles V.A. Medical Center and the University of California Los Angeles, School of Dentistry. He also earned a
certificate in the subspecialty of Maxillofacial Rehabilitation in 1997 at UCLA.
Dr. Grillo has served on the teaching
staff at the UCLA School of Dentistry and as faculty member in both the Removable Prosthodontics and the Advanced
Education in General Dentistry departments.
He has also been affiliated as a faculty member and a consultant for the Graduate Prosthodontics department at
the West Los Angeles, V.A. Hospital. Dr. Grillo taught all aspects of Prosthodontics, Maxillofacial prosthetics
and contributed to program development.
Dr. Grillo is a member of the American College of Prosthodontics , the American Academy of Cosmetic Denistry, and
the American Dental Association. He has lectured at numerous dental conferences for government and private organizations.
Dr. Grillo's area of special interest is advanced restorative dentistry and maxillofacial rehabilitation with an
emphasis on fixed, removable and implant related prostheses. His expertise also includes the oral care and management
of patients undergoing radiation and chemotherapy treatments. Dr. Grillo continues to work in the Del Mar area
and is sought out as a practitioner in the dental profession for his aesthetic designs, dental implant abilities
and technical expertise.
Dr. Grillo spends his extracurricular time with his wife and children and when time allows snowboarding, mountain
biking, and following automobile racing. |
